Ingredients:
Makhana: 80 gms
Chole: 120 gms
Oil: 2 tbsp
Ginger & Garlic Paste: 30 gms
Onion: 100 gms
Tomatoes: 100 gms
Green Chilli: 3 No.
Salt: To Taste
Red Chilli Powder: 1 tbsp
Cumin/Jeera Powder: 1 tsp
Coriander/ Dhaniya Powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric/Haldi: 1 tsp
Garam Masala: 1 tsp
Chole Masala: 1 tsp
Fresh Coriander/Cilantro: 30 gms
Procedure:
- Soak the chickpeas in water overnight.
- On the day of preparation, boil the chickpeas in a pressure cooker for 6 whistles
- Dry roast Makhana.
- In a Pan, add oil, add ginger & Garlic Paste, then add your green chillies.
- Saute it for a minute, then add chopped onions, and cook it until translucent.
- Then add your chopped tomatoes, and saute it until it becomes mushy.
- Then add all your spices & Chickpeas, cook it for further 6-7 minutes.
- Add Makhanas 5 minutes before serving for optimum taste.
- Serve hot.
