Ingredients:
Makhana: 200 gms
Green peas: 50 gms
Onion: 100 gms
Tomatoes: 100 gms
Oil: 3 tbsp
Cumin/Jeera: 1 tsp
Red chilli powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric: 1 tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Garam Masala: 1 tsp
Salt: To taste
Fresh cream/Malai: 1 tbsp
Procedure:
- Dry Roast Makhana in a pan for 7-8 minutes or until crisp.
- Puree the tomatoes in a mixer.
- In a Kadai, heat oil.
- Add cumin seeds, and sauté for 10-20 seconds, then add your onions and sauté until translucent.
- Then add your tomato puree and cook it for 4-5 minutes until the oil secretes.
- Then add all the dry spices & cook for another 5 minutes.
- Then add your green peas in the gravy, add water if required.
- Add your fresh cream/Malai.
- Add Makhanas 5 minutes before serving for optimum taste.
- Serve Hot.
