Ingredients:
Makhana: 200 gms
Oil: 2 tbsp
Mustard Seeds: 1 tsp
Chana Dal: 10 gms
Peanuts: 20 gms
Curry leaves: 15-20
Green chillies (chopped): 1 tsp
Asafoetida/Hing: a pinch
Salt: To Taste
Turmeric/Haldi: 1 tsp
Procedure:
- Heat a Aluminium Pan/Kadai & dry roast Makhana for 6-7 minutes or until crisp & roasted.
- Remove from heat and keep aside.
- In the same Aluminium Pan/Kadai, add 2 tbsp of oil and heat it on medium flame.
- Add Mustard seeds, Chana Dal and roast them for 30 seconds.
- Then add peanuts and roast them until crisp.
- Then add curry leaves, green chillies and asafoetida.
- Then add salt to taste and turmeric.
- Then add your Makhana back and mix it well until it gets evenly coated.
- Roast it for another 1-2 minutes or until crisp.
- Serve fresh and crisp for a better experience.
- You can also store it in an air tight container for future use.
